We are here to create the world we want. If you do not know what you want - how will you create it?

I have noticed that more and more of my clients come to me with the wish to rediscover their natural rhythm. They are under constant pressure, in a chronic hurry, without any breaks or longer holidays.
Entire companies seem to be marching in lockstep to the same beat, leaving no room for an individual tango or salsa. Many people have a feeling of being trapped in a monotonous and hectic techno-beat every day and they long for a different tune: a relaxing ballad or a captivating and interesting classical composition.
Say, what music are you dancing to?
Does the rhythm and speed of your music match your personality? Are you having fun dancing to this music or do you feel forced to follow it unwillingly and do you feel harassed by it?
Perhaps you can’t feel any rhythm right now and you might even believe that you can’t dance at all.
Music is made of sounds and silence. Together they make the rhythm. Sometimes all that is missing to be able to notice the sound and the beat again is the silence.
It is interesting how often people aren’t aware of what bothers them. They are so well adjusted and wrapped up in the situation that they lose perspective.
I used to work in an office where the air conditioning was constantly on. I got used to its humming very fast and after a while I didn’t notice it anymore, but as soon as it got switched off at 6 pm I would always realize how it had been bothering me the whole day. The silence was a real relief and it made me realise what the cause of my irritation was all day - only when it was gone!
Sometimes it is necessary to turn something off or to withdraw from a situation to fully gain the awareness of its negative influence and to gain a fresh perspective.
How often do you take this necessary time out and how often do you switch off the negative pressure?
How do you notice what music you are dancing to and what rhythm and what music would make you happier and more successful?
Why not switch everything off and treat yourself to a moment of stillness and let yourself feel what makes you feel good and what music brings you alive!
I invite you to join me in the Back to Basics Workshop (more information here) where all your senses and your soul will experience a symphony! (The early bird price ends on 01.03.2011!)
My personal hobbies are reading, listening to music, and silence.
Edith Sitwell
If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away.
Henry David Thoreau
You can call it the 'Perfect Moment' when the universe aligns and the music in your head actually matches the music outside and all is well.
